Mrs Jenny Schooler (f)

Nurse
I joined the team Summer 2022 having previously spent 30 years nursing at Manchester Royal Infirmary. I worked on a medical ward caring for a wide variety of conditions . Since joining the Practice I love seeing patients all needing different levels of care support and understanding. I have a keen interest in Diabetes and child immunisations but enjoy all the challenges General Practice throws my way.

Health Care Assistant
Karen joined Weaver Vale Practice in 2003, she works part time.  Karen’s role includes blood pressure checks, phlebotomy, ECG tests, new patient health reviews, NHS Health checks and administering flu vaccines amongst other responsibilities in the practice.  Karen can also act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one

Mr Lawrie Medina (m)

Advanced Practitioner
After a few years working for the ambulance service as an ambulance and solo response paramedic, I decided to take an academic pathway and step in to the diverse role of an advanced clinical practitioner in primary care. I have thoroughly enjoyed the role since day one, and hope to become a permanent part of the practice through hard work and dedication!

Miss Dawn Nuttall (f)

The Practice Manager, along with the Management Assistant, is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice. This includes making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals to deliver patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing  with patient records and scanning all appropriate letters and information onto patient computer records.

Secretaries

Our secretaries Elaine and Lorraine, provide vital office support to the doctors on a daily basis by dealing with patients’ queries, ensuring the smooth running of the back office and working closely with health professionals.
